Allah says in Surah As-Saaffat
*أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُزُلًا*
_Is that a better entertainment,_
Means, Allah asks: `Is that which He has mentioned of the delights of Paradise with its food, drink, companions and other joys better entertainment, or
*أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ*
_Or the tree of Zaqqum._
*إِنَّا جَعَلْنٰهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّـلِمِينَ*
_Indeed we have made it a trial for the wrong-doers._
Qatadah said "The tree of Zaqqum is mentioned as a test for those who are misguided. They said, `Your companion tells you that in the Fire there is a tree, but fire consumes trees.'
Then Allah revealed
*إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِى أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ*
_Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire._
meaning, it is nourished by the fire, for it was created from fire."
It also means, means, its roots grow at the bottom of Hell.
*طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيٰطِين*
_The shoots of its fruit stalks are like the heads of Shayateen._
This is a description of how ugly and repulsive it is, it is likened to Shayateen because even though they are not seen, their evil nature makes people they are also ugly and evil in appearance.
*فَإِنَّهُمْ لاّكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ*
_Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith._
Allah mentions that they will eat of this extremely ugly tree even though its fruit tastes and smells so bad; they will be forced to eat from it because they will not find anything else to eat except this tree and similar things.
*ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْباً مِنْ حَمِيمٍ*
_Then on the top of that they will be given Hameem._
[37:62-67]
Some Mufasireen say this is a mixture of boiling water mixed with pus and discharges that leak from the eyes and private parts.
_
Just as Allah ﷻ says
*فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيهِ مِنَ الحَمِيم*
_And drink from the Hameem on top of it._
*فَشَارِبُونَ شُربَ الهِيم*
_Indeed they shall drink like thirsty camels._
[56:54-55]
_
Not only will they eat and drink from this evil menu, they will eat and drink to their fill!
*ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ*
_Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell._
[37:67]
They will be sent back, after this interval and they will be rotated between each other.
_
Reflect on this.
Is this where we are heading?
Isn't it time for us to change?
*Think!*

Reflect on this.
Is this where we are heading?
Isn't it time for us to change?
